COVID-19 information Updated 27th January 2022
Face coverings – from today we understand that face coverings are no longer required on our coaches, however Devon County Council still recommends the use of face coverings on school transport and we appreciate the use of facemasks if our passengers feel able to continue to wear them.
Ventilation on our vehicles – We recommend to our drivers that they should not use recirculated air in the heating or air conditioning of our vehicles and to open windows and roof lights if appropriate to do so.
Cleaning on our vehicles – We supply sanitising fluid in spray bottles for our drivers to spray the interior of their vehicles, with special care taken to spray touch points in the vehicles such as grab rails etc. Our vehicles are cleaned daily and between different groups of passengers. We also have hand gel available for passengers to use.
Testing and advice on reducing risk
Staff – We have advised our staff on what they should do if they experience symptoms of Covid 19 and would recommend that any member of staff displaying symptoms should take a Covid 19 lateral flow test, if the results are positive then the member of staff should self – isolate and not enter the Sewards Coaches depot or any of our vehicles.
Passengers – We would also ask that if any of our passengers start experiencing Covid 19 symptoms to please take a Lateral flow test and receive a negative result before travelling on our vehicles, we would also ask any passengers who have been in close contact with someone suffering from Covid 19 to consider using a face covering and hand gel and or any additional precautions to keep the other coach passengers and our staff safe.
