Jamaica Inn & Dartmoor

A popular destination for a carvery, situated on Bodmin moor and offering a delicious meal is the ancient Jamaica Inn where there is plenty of history including smuggling and wrecking, of which you can find out more in the ‘’The Museum of Smuggling", which is located to the western side of the inn and the main coaching house. The inn is well known as the setting for Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name, published in 1936 and was later made into a film and tv series. Our visit will be followed by a scenic drive across Dartmoor and a short stop in Princetown where you can enjoy some refreshment and a wander around should you wish.
